(More customer reviews)I purchased this from Bed Bath & Beyond for $15! That was easily the best $15 I've ever spent on an appliance. I use it solely for cooking natural long grain brown rice, and it has come out perfect every time. It has a non-stick finish so clean up is as easy as it gets. The lid and cooking pot are dish washer safe, but I think you'd have to be pretty lazy not to take a whole 15 seconds to run it under some water. The non-stick works that good!
I usually cook about 1 cup of uncooked rice at a time. The instructions indicate about a 1-2 ratio of rice to water. But, I've found that a 1-1.5 ratio works better. I guess if you like your rice soggy, then use the 1-part rice to 2-part water method.
I saw a rice cooker for $179.99 at BB&B, and I can't imagine it doing any better than my $15 rice cooker. Best rice I've ever eaten.
